was formed shortly after the ill-fated coup in 1990, in which five (5) Muslim Majority States in the Northern Nigeria was announced excised.  The Organization was established to rally round the support of the Muslims across the country in order to confront the challenges of that nature and to empower the Nigeria Muslims. The Organization was duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in July, 1991.
